Chemitac 153 is a covercoat adhesive used in conjunction in Chemitac 11 primer for bonding NR, SBR, BR, CR, NBR, HNBR, IIR, CIIR, BIIR, CSM and EPDM to rigid substrates during vulcanization. It can also be used as a one-coat adhesive for bonding textile fibers.

Chemitac 153 is a lead-free product.

Non-volatile solids (1h @ 105ºC): 24.00 - 29.00 %
Specific gravity at 25°C: 0.970 - 1.020 g/cm3
Viscosity Brookfield at 25°C: 110 - 300 cps - #2 spindle @ 30 rpm.
Viscosity Ford Cup # 4 at 25°C: 40 - 80 s
Diluents: Xylene / Toluene
Bonding Temperature Range: 130 - 200ºC
Shelf life: 1 year (unopened container below 25ºC).
Elastomers: Bromobutyl Rubber (BIIR), Butyl Rubber (IIR), Chlorinated Rubber (CR), Chlorobutyl Rubber (CIIR), Ethylene Propylene Rubber Diene (EPDM), Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR), Natural Rubber (NR), Nitrile Rubber (NBR), Polybutadiene Rubber (BR)
